Sometimes known locally as 'The Cow and the Calf' because of their close proximity to The Bull rock just off Trevose Head, The Quies have been a cause of many shipwrecks in the past and part of the reason Trevose lighthouse was built. This perspective is an interesting view as it makes the islands seem so close; strikingly closer than when viewed from Constantine Bay which is from where most people spy them.
