There's something really special about commissioning a bespoke work of art. Whether it's a painting for your home, a centrepiece for your office or a gift for someone special, commissioning artwork allows you to choose the subject matter, colours, style and dimensions of a piece to suit your whims.
Commissioning a piece of art is a highly personal process and I am here to guide you as much (or as little) as you require. Most of my artwork is commission-based, and recipients get in touch afterwards to let me know just how thrilled they are with their commissioned artwork. Commissioning a bespoke piece of artwork really does allow you to become fully engaged with the creation process, working with the artist directly to design and develop your dream piece of art.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a commission usually take?
I can usually fulfil your time frame (within reason!) but the more notice I get the better, especially during busy holiday periods.
How much will a commissioned painting cost?
Commissions cost a little more than usual due to the time it takes to create and the process involved. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements as I can usually create something within your budget and can be flexible on size/price, depending on what you have in mind.
Will I get to see the painting part way through the process to make sure it's what I had in mind?
Yes. I will be transparent at every stage of the process and if you would like regular updates throughout the process then i'm happy to show you photographs of the piece before it's complete. That said, it's always nice to get a surprise at the end because different screens/monitors vary and can affect colours wildly so seeing a piece part way through can give you an altered vision of what the artwork will eventually look like.
What if I want to change something?
I always make sure I speak to the client in depth prior to taking on a commission to ensure that we are both singing from the same hymn sheet, as it were. But if you find that you want to change a small element of the painting then that is of course no problem, just let me know. Due to the fact that you have commissioned me to create you a bespoke piece I want you to be happy with it!
